Jessica as Laughing Hyena
This summer Teen Extreme and EXPO performed the play Superheroes Unite.
Each of the participants got to choose what character they wanted to be and they got to decide what powers they wanted . We had practices every Tuesday and Thursday and we would practice our lines over and over and then have a light dinner after we were done. We practiced until about 6 pm. We had a dress rehearsal on Thursday (the day before the show) at Adams school. Some people wore makeup. When we perform in front of people sometimes we get nervous or we get scared but then it goes away. It makes us feel special. I do like acting because it makes me feel beautiful and graceful and it gives me power when I am acting. When I was up there on the second step belting out my dance moves, I got to move my body in new ways that I did not do last year. That made me feel glad that I did that. My favorite moment was when Chris used the silly string cans and sprayed the audience and ran around the stage; also when Blair put her net on Dylan and pushed him over on the

ground. We all danced to the song Help! from the Beatles. Next year, I want to see if we can do our own musical version of Swan Lake or a take off from an actual movie.
I will miss doing the summer program because I had great time and making new friends and I cannot wait for next year.
